AirScripts is a HIPAA-compliant application designed to facilitate remote signing of medication orders for healthcare professionals involved in hospice care, skilled nursing, and home health services. It enables medical directors to sign Schedule II medications for hospice patients and to approve orders for non-scheduled medications, providing a streamlined process for remote authorization.

The application is tailored to meet the needs of busy medical directors who often manage multiple responsibilities. It allows physicians to sign prescriptions and orders conveniently via their iPhones or iPads, eliminating the necessity of accessing desktop computers or relying on traditional fax systems for transmitting documentation.

Upon entry of an order or prescription by a nurse, the physician receives an immediate push notification on their mobile device. The signing process is straightforward, permitting authorization through the use of a finger or stylus. As long as there is WiFi or cellular connectivity, the app can be operated virtually anywhere—whether within clinical settings, traveling, or abroad.

By offering accessible and efficient signing capabilities, the app facilitates prompt patient care while accommodating physicians' demanding schedules. Its integration of biometric security, requiring fingerprint verification for transaction authorization, provides an additional layer of protection against unauthorized use.
